As we go about starting 2020, still a lot of what's out there in terms of marketing is automated driven.
Almost every body is trying to figure out how to do more with less, how to get more likes, more attention, more engagement, more comments, more this more that, and all by doing as little work as possible, but I hint this is not going to be a good strategy in 2020, and I'm not the only one that thinks so.
Yes bots, and automated tools have helped businesses generate more likes and followers, but I can't count the times when I've seen pages with 100k or more in following that can't seem to be able to generate even one single sale or customer for their business.
How is that possible? How can a page with 100k in following not be able to do that.
Answer is "care". People don't care.
Yes someone might have given you their "thumbs up" or "double tap", but they surely haven't given you their true attention, their respect, their trust.
Building that is way harder than many people think. Building true context for the type of attention that matters take work and there's 0 tools out there that are going to help you do that.
By saying that I am not saying you shouldn't use tools and technology to better your communication. What I'm saying is that you should be using technology and tools to help you scale more of what is considered human interaction.
TO BE HUMAN
And act human is what you should use technology for.
In 2020, we should all learn the true meaning of how to see followers as actual people instead of accounts.
Happy marketing, happy 2020.
